The Long Drive And the Alamo
Jul. 27th, 2009 07:58 pmHey everyone back again! Today mom & I traveled from Lubbock to San Antonio, it took us about 6 1/2 hours including stops. The drive wasn't horrible at all just super long :X We stopped in Fredericksburg on our way, it's German town that my mom used to go shopping for antiques at. It is such a cute little town, lots of B&Bs so it really is a must see and a must to stay at. For visitors information click here.
We made it to San Antonio around 1:30-ish, the city is expanding so a lot of it looks completely different then when we lived here. But downtown is still the same as ever. After waiting on my mom's co-workers to get here we went to the RiverCenter which is the giant mall on the riverwalk & & & OMG they have a Sanario store!! AHH, I'm going there on Wednesday, soif when i buy stuff I'll post cute pictures up! We did go on the riverwalk for a walk around & it is so gorgeous! Had happy hour and did a little souviner shopping. We did see the Alamo from a far but I hope to see it closer sometime before I leave and get some pictures.
* * * Sidenote, if anyone plans to travel here (San Antonio) don't do it durning late July or August omg it's so hot here. I'm pretty sure my makeup is melting off me.
